Earlier this month I spent a week with Grotest Maru in Lauchhammer near Dresden as their technical manager and lighting designer. The company were invited by the 1. Open Art Lausitz Biennale to create a site-specific piece that drew its inspiration from the history of the area. Over 200 people visited to see the performance on Friday August 7th including many people who had worked at the bio-towers or had family members who had done so.
