Last week I was in Truro, lighting Prodigal Theatre’s The Tragedian Trilogy at The Hall For Cornwall.
The Tragedian is a critically acclaimed, award winning trilogy of solo plays written and performed by Alister O’Loughlin. It chronicles the life, explosive rise, and tragic decline of the legendary 19th-century British Shakespearean actor Edmund Kean. Kean is remembered as the first modern, trans-Atlantic superstar celebrity, whose turbulent life included enormous wealth, public scandal, and a deeply self-destructive streak.
To celebrate its 21st anniversary, the trilogy was remounted and filmed in the round with live audiences on stage at the Hall For Cornwall. It has successfully toured in ten countries internationally.
