During the last four weeks I have been on tour with Hate Radio, visiting three theatres in different regions of France. I have been working alongside Jens Baudisch & Milena Kipfmueller, serving the production´s technical needs with a personal emphasis on sound and video.
Show dates were March 26th – 29th in Besançon (Les 2 Scènes, CDN Besancon Franche-Comté), April 3rd – 5th in Saint Auban Château Arnoux (Théâtre Durance) and April 17th in Paris (Théâtre Claude Lévi-Strauss, Musée du Quai Branly).
Information about the shows for each venue can be found here (for Besançon), here (for Saint Auban Château Arnoux) and here (for Paris).
Information about Hate Radio from the IIPM company website can be found here.
The show in Paris would be a very special and emotional for all of us in the Hate Radio team, as it would be the last time we would perform with the original set. We having been touring Hate Radio around the world since 2011 and the set has in recent years started to increasingly show signs of wear and tear. It was decided earlier this year that we would retire the set after the Paris date. The show will now be offered in it´s site-specific form to any interested parties. Thankfully the set will now be recycled, as one of the technicians at the Théâtre Claude Lévi-Strauss works with a Parisian street theatre company, and they will repurpose the set for future productions.
